More room during a busy on-sale

  • Hubbaly can now use more of its computing power during a busy on-sale, so event pages, ticket lists and checkout stay responsive while many people buy at the same moment.
  • More purchases can now go through at the same moment, so fewer buyers are asked to wait their turn, and each purchase finishes sooner once it starts.
  • Event pages, ticket lists and checkout also do less work for each person, which leaves more room for buyers: an event page needs about an eighth fewer lookups.
  • When a very large crowd buys at once, checkout still asks some people to wait and keeps trying for them by itself, as before.

Your waitlist

  • When you add places to a sold-out event, on its schedule, in its settings or while setting up a ticket, they are now offered to the people on your waitlist straight away.
  • Every place that opens up is now offered to your waitlist first, however many open at once.
  • On events with several dates, places you add to one date are offered to the people waiting for that date first, including when you copy a ticket to more dates.
  • Purchases made through a waitlist offer now show in your waitlist activity and your event report, including how long people took to buy after being offered a place.
  • If an email offering someone a place does not go out, Hubbaly sends it again by itself.
  • When a place is held for someone, their ticket on the event page now says A ticket is held for you and gives the time to buy it by.

Private tickets in invitations

  • When you send an event invitation or create an access link, you can now tick tickets set to Private invite only. The people you invite see exactly the tickets that invitation covers.
  • All active ticket types still leaves private tickets out, and now names them, with an Also include box for each one.
  • Invitations and access links now sits straight under Tickets in the event menu, and a private ticket’s Invite button takes you there.
  • On a private event, the first choice under Where is it sold? now reads All invitations, because that is how its tickets reach people.

Buying through an invitation

  • Someone signed in to Hubbaly who buys through your invitation is offered to join your hub at checkout: an open hub adds them straight away, and a hub that approves members sends you their request.
  • Checkout stops at what the invitation allows: Tickets per recipient for an emailed invitation, Maximum per booking for a link. Set it to the number each guest may buy.
  • Put an Instagram, X, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky or YouTube profile address in an event or hub description, a joining introduction, an event information block or an event update, and it shows as a small link with the site’s mark and the account name. Tap it to open the profile.
  • Editor previews show it the same way. Links to posts, links with their own wording and other websites stay as ordinary links.

Behind the scenes

Background work such as scheduled emails now runs apart from the servers that answer buyers, and photo processing has its own fixed share of the server, so pages stay quick while photos upload. If Hubbaly ever needs to go offline for a planned upgrade, you'll now see a page saying when we expect to be back.
