First 15 minutes (all users)
- Sign in at Sign in or create an account at Register.
- Confirm you land on Home and can open Account.
- In Profile, set your display name, username, and avatar.
- In Notifications, verify push/email preferences.
- In Passkeys and two-step sign-in, add a passkey and set up two-step sign-in if your account policy requires it.

Choose your first-week path
Member path
- Join one or more hubs from All hubs or a share/invite link.
- If you open a join link while signed out, attribution from the link is preserved after login.
- Review upcoming events in your active hub.
- Buy a ticket and complete required forms before event day.
- Track updates in Alerts and Chat.
- Use My tickets and Purchase history as source-of-truth.
Organiser path
- Create your hub from Create hub.
- Set join policy, decide whether members can share join links, and assign governance roles.
- Create a draft event, then configure tickets and required forms.
- Set up your core support chats from Chat and notifications so members have a clear place to ask questions.
- Assign event staff with explicit permissions.
- Publish only when event details, chat setup, and readiness controls are final.
Staff path (scanner, Event Day, event operations)
- Confirm your event staff role and permissions with the organiser.
- Review scanner readiness, attendance registration policy, and required forms before event day.
- Use
Scanneras the main live door tool when scanning is enabled, and useEvent Dayfor the full roster and attendance records. - Escalate blockers with exact ticket/state context.
Handing out at an event
On Home, look under Things to do for Shop scanner, straight after Scan. If the organiser has given you Hand out Event shop orders and you have accepted the work, your event appears with its hub and the number of orders waiting. Press its row to open Shop scanner directly. None waiting means everything has been handed over or seen; the row stays while the event is listed. You do not need to join the hub to use this shortcut.
First event readiness checklist
- Event date/time/location finalised.
- Ticket types and sales cap reviewed if needed.
- Required forms published (including guest flow where needed).
- Staff roles assigned and tested.
- Event update flow tested for critical announcements.
Avoid these early mistakes
- Publishing before required forms are attached and versioned.
- Giving
OWNERrole too broadly instead of usingADMIN. - Ignoring push/email delivery setup until event day.
- Treating alerts and chat as interchangeable workflows.
- Waiting until event day to test passkey and two-step sign-in recovery paths.
